BELOVO PAPER MILL - Belana has continued to invest time and money in technological improvements to guarantee high production capacity and reliability. Our team of engineers is constantly committed to work out solutions capable of increasing the standard of quality of our products.

After the implementation of the first 12.1 mil. USD investment programme that started in 1998 and concluded in 2003, the Company has proceeded with the elaboration of a new 5 years (2004 – 2008) investment package aiming to keep an ever green technology in the papermaking, finishing and converting, to improve the infrastructure facilities and to keep the mill in the first range of the competition.

The programme, amounting to EUR 5.000.000, due to its modular design can be easily readapted to fast respond not only to the market demands but to the cash flow and financing possibilities of the Company as well.

Part of it, amounting to approx. EUR 1.600.000 is already realized throughout the years 2004 and 2005 while the remaining is to be implemented in the years 2006 – 2008.

Presently the mill with 4 paper machines in operation has a capacity of 58.000 tons per year of Tissue paper, M.G., greaseproof, opaline, wrapping and specialties.

The raw material is local waste paper and pulp.

BELOVO PAPER MILL S.A. is producing paper in rolls and sheets and various paper products such as: Creping Tissue, Coloured Tissue, crepe Toweling, Crepe Paper Greaseproof Paper, Opaline and Core Stock.

The converting – finishing comprises the production of toilet rolls, napkins, kitchen towels, pocket handkerchiefs, facial tissues, wadding, feminine sanitary napkins, greaseproof paper, opaline, wrapping paper and specialties paper in sheets and rolls.

The converting and finishing department contains:

• 5 rewinders
• 3 sheet cutters and guillotines
• 4 supercalenders
• 4 toilet rolls/ kitchen towels lines with a wide range of embossing possibilities
• 10 napkin lines with printing
• 1 facial tissues line
• 2 wadding lines
• 1 pocket handkerchiefs line
• 1 feminine sanitary napkins line

The infrastructure includes central workshop, computerized spare parts warehouse, water and effluent treatment plant, compressed air station, boiler house with gas and railway facilities for raw materials and products.

Personnel canteens, guest-houses, restaurants, apartments and sport facilities make part of the infrastructure.
