Belovo Paper Mill ­ Belana is the biggest tissue producer in Bulgaria and the market leader in away-from-home and tissue household products (toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, napkins, pocket hankies, facial tissues, wadding, etc.).
Strong export presence in some Central and South European countries confirms the quality and competitiveness of its operation.

MG paper, greaseproof, opaline, wrapping and specialties, both in rolls and reams, papermaking and converting machinery construction and services is also part of the Mill¹s activities.

The Company belongs to Zeritis Group, which holds a leading papermaking position in another three countries (Thrace Paper Mill ­ DIANA/Greece, Piszkei Papir ­ CREPTO/Hungary, Pyramids Paper Mills ­ FLORA/Egypt), exporting to 70 countries and is also involved in Consulting and Engineering, Plastics, Real Estate, Shipping, Electricity Trade, etc.

The trade mark "Belana" is leading in the tissue products market in Bulgaria with more than 30 % market share. Along with the dominating position on the Bulgarian market, the "Belana" products have a traditional presence in the Balkan Region.

After the Company got privatized in 1998, the exports were almost three times increased and reached 50 % of the total production. Today the products of "Belovo Paper Mill" S.A. are sold in more than 25 countries, in between them FYROM, Serbia, Romania, Greece, Italy, Germany, Poland, Sweden, Great Britain, Denmark, Switzerland, Cyprus, Turkey, Russia, Moldova, Georgia, Israel and Croatia.

The mill with 4 paper machines in operation has a capacity of 58.000 tons per year of Tissue paper, M.G., greaseproof, opaline, wrapping and specialties.
"Belovo Paper Mil" is producing paper in rolls and sheets and various paper products such as : creping tissue, colored tissue, crepe toweling, crepe paper, greaseproof paper, opaline and core stock.
The converting ­ finishing operation comprises the production of toilet rolls, napkins, kitchen towels, pocket handkerchiefs, facial tissues, away-from-home products, wadding, feminine sanitary napkins, greaseproof paper, opaline, wrapping paper and specialties paper in sheets and rolls.

"Belovo Paper Mill" S.A. has developed a low cost and high efficiency Papermaking and Converting Machinery construction activity and services addressed to third parties that it is not only contributing to the sales income, but is also building a precious know-how.

Since July 2001 the company has been accredited to the International Quality Management System ISO 9001/1994, upgraded since 15 August 2003 to 9001/2000 becoming thus the first Bulgarian company of the paper industry certified in that standard level.
Procedures and preparation for ISO 14 001 certificate have already started and accreditation is expected within the near future.
